Russia to invest 230 mln rbl in upgrade of Ansat helicopters

MOSCOW, Aug 16 (PRIME) – Russia plans to invest 230 million rubles in the upgrade of the Kazan Ansat helicopters until 2021, according to the Industry and Trade Ministry documents seen by PRIME late on Thursday.

“The goal of the project is an upgrade of a multi-task helicopter in order to furnish it with the qualities ensuring competitiveness and sustainable sales for the next 25–30 years on the domestic and global markets,” the ministry said.

Sales will amount to 265 helicopters until 2025 and 486 helicopters until 2030. A contractor for the upgrade will be chosen at a tender in September.
